Mrs. Violet Margaret Leonard Hall

Mrs. Violet Margaret Leonard Hall, age 79 of Cana passed away at Northern Hospital of Surry County on Saturday, July 13, 2013. She was born in Carroll County, VA on November 20, 1933 to the late John Reuben and Cora Mae Dowell Leonard. Mrs. Hall was a member of Westview Baptist Church. After retiring from Spencer's she worked as a CNA for Northern Hospital of Surry and later worked with Roof Top of Virginia assisting people in need throughout the community. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Hall is survived by two caring daughters and a son-in-law, Karen Gail and Kenny Hall of Cana, Kathy Stutts of High Point; four adored grandchildren, Shaun Hall, Major, US Army, Retired, Andrew Stutts of Kernersville and Jordan Stutts of Charlotte, Alicia Eves and her husband, Craig of Rock Hill, SC; great granddaughter, Hailee Eves due to arrive in August; a sister and brother-in-law, Libby and Robert Nunn of Cana; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Leo Hall; two sisters, Iris Dawson and Harris Lawson; and four brothers, Grift, Sam, Ethard and Melvin Leonard. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darren Slate and Rev. David Sechrist officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on Sunday, July 14, 2013.
