Mrs. Violet Riggins Haynes

Mrs. Violet Marie Riggins Haynes, age 56, of Ararat, VA, was at home, surrounded by her loving family when she went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 08, 2016. She was born in Wythe County, VA on October 12, 1959 to Elmer Franklin and Nannie Violet DeHart Riggins. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Left to cherish her sweet memory is her husband, Odell Haynes; her children, Johnny Spurlock, Jr., Travis Spurlock, Brandy Hubbard, Monica Hamm, Shannon Haynes, Shane Haynes; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters, Sarah, Matt, Willie, Louise, Roy, Charlotte, Joe, Bobby, Ronnie, Billy and Mike. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by a grandson, Mikle Dixon, Jr. and siblings, Herbert, Willie and Louise. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Clyde Bishop. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
