Mrs Virginia "Jenny" Pauline Benge Abels

Mrs. Virginia “Jenny” Pauline Benge Abels, 83 of Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 at her home. She was born in Surry County on October 7, 1933 to the late Charlie Benge and Emma Myrtle Surratt Benge. She is survived by her husband, Fred Abels of the home; a daughter, Dorlisa Abels and Alan Quesinberry of Charlotte; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley Benge of Mt. Airy, Wanda and Don Surratt of Mt. Airy, and Alma Warf of Newport News, VA; a brother, Bobby Benge and friend Maxine Carlisle of Mt. Airy; a niece, Karen Warf of Virginia Beach, VA; and a nephew, Timothy Warf of Newport News, VA.; a special friend, David Carlisle of Mt. Airy; her grandcats, Mac, Weeble, and Fiona. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Abels was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Wayne “Pete” Benge and a brother-in-law, Mason Warf. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Carlton Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.
