Mrs. Virginia G. Beasley

Mrs. Virginia Gunther Beasley, age 82 of Patrick Springs passed away Thursday morning at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born on Feb. 15, 1927 in Beckley, WV to the late Harvey and Lottie Bell Shiftlet Gunther. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Beasley; her step mother, Mary Jane Gunther; two sisters, Edith Campbell and Noralee Lacy; two brothers, Billy and Pete Gunther; and a grandson, Jesse Ray "Chip" Hill. Mrs. Beasley was a member of Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are two daughters and a son in law, Linda Beasley of Patrick Springs, Mary and Phillip Taylor of Stuart; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two sisters, Vicky Harrah of Beckley, WV, Margaret Lewis of Stoneville, NC; and two brothers, Ed Stegall of Cleveland, OH and Fred Gunther of Beckley, WV.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 13, 2009 at 7:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Jackie Spence, Pastor Neil Shaw, and Mary Lee Burnette officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Monday night beginning at 6:00 at the funeral home.
