Mrs. Virginia Haynes McMillian

Mrs. Virginia Haynes McMillian, age 87, of Cana, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, at her home surrounded by her caring family. Mrs. McMillian was born in Carroll County on August 8, 1929 to David and Lucy Guynn Haynes. She was a homemaker and loving, wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Mrs. McMillian enjoyed spending time with her family and was a devoted and faithful member of Skyline Independent Baptist Church for many years, but also attended Solid Rock Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Faye and Bro. Roy Quesenberry; Judy and Bro. Garry Allen; sons and a daughter-in-law, Troy Jr. and Sheryl McMillian; Ricky McMillian; grandchildren, Karen Farmer and husband, Kevin, Kristi Bunn and husband, Greg; Scotty Allen and wife Sarah; Tangie McMillian and fiancé, Stacy Hawks; Tonya Marshall and husband Jason; and Tasha McMillian; nine great grandchildren and one due any day; and a sister, Ernestine Ayers. Mrs. McMillian was preceded in death by her husband, Troy H. McMillian, Sr.; a grandson, Jeffery Quesenberry; her parents, David and Lucy Guynn Haynes; a sister, Opal McMillian and a brother, David Junior Haynes. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 27, 2017 at Solid Rock Baptist Church by Bro. Garry Allen, Bro. Jack Anderson, Bro. Don Collins and Bro. Ken Young. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday night from 6:00 to 8:00 and her body will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.
