Mrs. Virginia Freeman White

Mrs. Virginia Freeman White, age 85, of Dobson, NC passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Nursing Center.  She was born in Surry Co. on January 15, 1933, to the late Sanford Freeman and the late Emmie Snow Freeman.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jerrod White; a brother, JC Freeman.  She was a member of Central View Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Washington Mills.  Surviving are her husband, Homer H. White of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Ila White of Ruffin, NC, Todd and Dawn White of Jonesville, NC, Barry and Tracy White of Dobson, NC; grandchildren, Matt, Michael, Jason, Robert, and Cory White;  and numerous great-grandchildren.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Central View Missionary Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.  Dr. Rick Jackson will officiate the services.  The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice and Hugh Chatham Nursing Center for taking such good care of Virginia.
