Mrs. Vivian K. Bowman

Mrs. Vivian Keith Bowman, age 71 of Martinsville, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born in Patrick County on Jan. 11, 1938 to the late Esley Howard Keith and Gracie Keith Cockram. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two sons, Charles Keith Bowman and Stephen Anthony Bowman. Mrs. Bowman worked at Collinsville Printing and at Tultex for several years, and was a member at Victory Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Charlie M. Bowman of the home; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and David Haden, Carlene and Mike Shelor, and Betty Lewis all of Meadows of Dan; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Ruby Keith of Richmond, Bill and Judy Keith of Meadows of Dan, Garland and Mickey Keith of Martinsville, J.L Cockram of Meadows of Dan, and Danny and Melanie Cockram of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Victory Baptist Church with Pastors Dan Schelling and David Naff officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 1300 Dillons Fork Rd., Fieldale, VA 24089. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements.
