Mrs. Vivie Mae Boles

Mrs. Vivie Mae Boles 85, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 23, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 5, 1926 in Surry County to the late John Jake and Veattrice Painter McCreary. Mrs. Boles was owner and operator of Boles Fabric Shop in Bannertown. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Sharon Boles, and Ricky Boles all of Mt. Airy; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters, Ann Canaday of Roxboro, Rachel Ardner of Mt. Airy; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Anna Lou McCreary, Johnny McCreary all of Mt. Airy, Mitchell McCreary of Dobson, Sue McCreary of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boles was preceded in death by her husband, Charley James Boles; a sister, Delvie Helium; a brother, Sonny McCreary; two brothers-in-law, Bobby Canaday and Russell Arndner. A graveside service will be held Friday, August 26, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Korners Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Gary Lowe and Elder Woodrow Flippen officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
