Mrs. Wanda Mort Coalson

Mrs. Wanda Lee Mort Coalson, age 81 of Walkertown, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Coalson was born in Cumberland, MD on February 2, 1932 to Dewey Elzie and Thelma Gwendolyn Lear Mort. She was a former owner/operator of Coalson's Restaurant for many years. Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Dewey and Sylvia Mort of the home; a niece Gwen Winchester of Walkertown and numerous cousins and special friends. Mrs. Coalson will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coalson was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Allen Coalson; and a son, Tom Allen Coalson, Jr. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Fulp. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forsyth County Hospice & Palliative Care at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27102.
