Mrs. Wanda Faye Goad Isley

Mrs. Wanda Faye Goad Isley, age 66 of Critz, Virginia passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Carroll County on June 24, 1951 to the late Eden Walker Goad and Della Virginia Quesenberry Goad. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel J. Blevins “Jack”; a son, Austin Eugene Peery; two brothers, Sidney Allen and Dorsie Goad; and a sister, Bertie Goad. Wanda was of the Baptist faith and had retired from Bassett Walker. She loved collecting black bears and was always willing to help others.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Roberts (Richard Lane) of Critz; three grandchildren, Karen Lawson, Austin Dyer, and Ashlynn Roberts; two step-grandsons, Matthew Daniels and Shawn Daniels; a great granddaughter, Riley Grace Dyer; a sister, Wilma Pedigo (Ron) of Dugspur; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Wanda will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at noon at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastor David Freeman officiating. Burial will be in the Silverleaf Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
