Mrs. Wanda Gail Comer Miller

Mrs. Wanda Gail Miller, age 73, of Dobson, NC passed away on Wednesday evening April 27, 2016 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. She was born in Christiansburg, VA to the late Howard Wilson and Lila Scott Comer. She retired after thirty years of service from the Surry County Department of Social Services. She was a member of The Dobson First Baptist Church. Surviving are her loving husband of 54 years, Theron Odell “Terry” Miller, Jr. of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and John Perry of Linville, NC; son, Gary Miller of King, NC; grandchildren Tiffany Miller and Seth Perry; grandchildren of the heart, Brett Jones and Seth Soare; two sisters and brothers-in-law Pastor Sherri Comer-Cox and Gary Cox of Maryland, Diane Comer and Konoz Mohiuddin of Pakistan; brother Howard Wilson Comer, II of Topsail Island, NC. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Saturday April 30, 2016 in the chapel of Dobson First Baptist Church with Pastor Corey Honeycutt and Pastor Sherri Comer-Cox conducting. The family will receive friends on Saturday following the memorial service at the church. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Dobson First Baptist Church – Backpack Ministry, PO Box 278 Dobson, NC 27017 or to the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Miller Family.
