Mrs. Wilamae Jane "Mitty" McCarthy

Mrs. Wilamae Jane "Mitty" McCarthy, age 82 of Meadows of Dan, Virginia and formerly of Klamath Falls, Oregon, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2006 at her home. She was born in South Dakota on February 10, 1924 to the late John Ellis and Rua Anderson Lehto. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCarthy was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Ret. U.S. Navy William Joseph McCarthy, III. She had been a military wife and homemaker.
Mrs. McCarthy is survived by one son, Captain William Joseph McCarthy, IV, and wife, Mila, of Murrieta, California; one daughter, Mollie McCarthy Olive, and husband, Frank, of West Palm Beach, Florida; three grandchildren, Michael Brinck, Casey Brinck and Kathleen McCarthy; one sister, Adelade Walker of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and one brother, John Lehto of Washington.
Funeral services for Mrs. McCarthy will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Shockley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
