Mrs. Wilma Edmonds Upchurch

Mrs. Wilma Edmonds Upchurch, 62 of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Surry County on June 11, 1949 to the late Garl Taylor and Nancy Bruner Edmonds. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and attended Woodland Baptist Church in Mt. Airy. She is survived by her husband, Roger Lee Upchurch of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Chad Brown of Mt. Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Dana Upchurch of Belews Creek; six grandchildren, Amanda, Taylor, Sarah, Kristin, Bailee and Rebekah; two great grandchildren, Emma and Ellie; sister, Nina Gwyn of Mt. Airy; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Nancy Edmonds of Pilot Mountain. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Upchurch was preceded in death by sisters, Mae Hunt and Linda Davis; a brother, Johnny Edmonds. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Woodland Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, with Rev. Barry Clement, Rev. Roby Wilcox and Rev. Jimmy Slate officiating. Burial will follow in the Edwards-Upchurch Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the church. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
