Mrs. Zelma Rakes Bullins

Mrs. Zelma Rakes Bullins, age 77 of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born in Patrick County on April 27, 1931 to the late Amos and Hattie Goard Rakes. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bullins was preceded in death by one son, Gary Bullins. She had been a sales person at Belk's, and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Bullins is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Linda Bullins of Stuart; two grandchildren, Candice Edwards and Jacob Bullins; two great-grandchildren, Christian Edwards and Heather Edwards; one brother and sister-in-law, J.R. and Estelle Rakes of Stuart; one twin sister, Thelma Strader of Reidsville, North Carolina; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bullins will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder J. R. Rakes officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.
