Ms. Anita Carol Turner Massey

Ms. Anita Carol Turner Massey, age 56 of Stuart, Virginia passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. Ms. Massey was born in Henry County to Billy L. Turner and Mary K. Brooks Byrd. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emercyn J. Massey; grandparents, Pete and Hilda Perdue; step-daughter, Amanda A. Massey and step-father, Beverly M. Byrd.

Ms. Massey is survived by her husband, James Holland of Sandy Ridge, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Kelsie Massey of Havelock, NC; step-son, Thomas D. Massey of Stuart, VA; granddaughter, Eden Grace Patton; step-grandsons, Joshua D. Janey and John D. Janey both of Collinsville, VA; her father Billy L. Turner of Bassett, VA, sister and brother-in-law, Penny and Brent Barnes of Stuart, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Debbie Turner of Florida; step-sister, Rhonda Blankenship of Smith Mountain Lake, VA; a niece, Katelynn Foley of Stuart, VA; a nephew, Cody Foley of Stuart, VA; an aunt, Deane Cecil of SC; and two uncles, Wayne Brooks of High Point, NC and Robert Brooks of Bassett, VA.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Creasey’s Chapel United Methodist Church at 11:00 am with Pastor Tammy Franklin officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, VA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
