Ms. Annie Elizabeth Montgomery

Ms. Annie Elizabeth Montgomery, 67, of Mount Airy, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Baptist Hospital. Ms. Montgomery was born in Surry County on September 6, 1950 to Raymond Lester and Virgie Zelma Bowman Edwards. She was of the Baptist faith and will be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Marian Elgin, Robbin Epperson, and Kelsey Shelton; grandchildren, Derek Harp, Chelsa Davis and husband Billy, Haley Stevens and her husband Cody, and Amber Elgin; great-grandchildren, Malachi Childress, Jace Shelton, Natalie Stevens, Ember Davis, Olivia Ramero; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Andrew Edwards; brother and sister-in-law, Fletcher “John” and Brenda Edwards; and special friends, Joann Vernon and Bill Penley. In addition to her parents, Ms. Montgomery was preceded in death by a great grandson, Kyle “Boogie” Davis; a sister, Angeline Edwards. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy. There will be no formal visitation.
