Ms. Betty Jones Hicks Beasley

Ms. Betty Jones Hicks Beasley, age 82 of Mt. Airy, passed away October 6, 2016. She was born February 14, 1934 in Surry County to the late Ernest and Mary Alice Eaton Jones. She was retired from the Renfro Corporation and was a member of the Light House Community Church. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Beasley of Mt. Airy, Jerry Hicks and Diane of Mt. Airy, a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Lewis and Arnold of Byron, GA, five grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, one sister, Margaret Wall of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Ms. Beasley was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Hiatt and Vernell Puckett. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 8, 2016 at a Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Johnny Easter and Rev. Rawley “Dink” Haynes, Jr. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 10:00 AM Saturday until time of the service at Moody Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the care givers of Golden Living Nursing Center for the excellent care given to Ms. Beasley and “special friends”, Jerry Raby, Tommy Casey and Libby and Manford Money.
