Ms. Betty Sue Dameron

Ms. Betty Sue Dameron, age 85, of Elkin, NC passed away on Wednesday evening September 13, 2017 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was born in Wilkes County on December 20, 1931 to the late Henry Clarence Dameron and the late Etta Walker Dameron. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her three brothers James, Garvey, and Allan Dameron. She was a member of Dayspring Baptist Chapel in Dobson. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law Darlene and Paul Brown of Maryville, TN; two granddaughters Susan and Allen Edwards of Dobson, NC, Sandy and Jeff Brewer of Elkin, NC and four special great-grandchildren, Ricky Edwards, William Edwards, Gracie Brewer, and Emma Brewer; sisters-in-law Claudia Dameron, and Lydia Dameron ; a niece and 4 nephews. Gathering of family and friends will be held 3pm Sunday September 17, at Dayspring Baptist Chapel 2286 White Dirt Rd. Dobson, NC. Brother Roger Pickett, Brother Joe Atkins and Brother Joe Lambert will conduct the service. There will be special singing by The Dayspring Choir and Brother Travis Lloyd. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945, Zephyr Rd. Dobson, NC 27017. There will be no formal services held at Moody-Davis Funeral Home.
