Ms. Bonnie Ruth Cassell Kendrick, age 56 of Patrick Springs, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. She was born in Henry County on August 8, 1956. She was a lifelong member of Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church, and had worked for Bassett Walker Industries and E-Z Stop. Ms. Kendrick was preceded in death by her father, Donald Lee Cassell and a sister, Sonda Cassell Belcher.
Ms. Kendrick is survived by two sons, Brent Corns of Martinsville, Chad Corns and wife, Amy, of Stuart; one daughter, Hanna Kendrick of Collinsville; two grandsons, Chance and Reid Corns; her mother, Thelma Cauley Cassell of Patrick Springs; one sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Curtis L. Pilson of Martinsville; one brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Deitra Cassell of Axton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ms. Kendrick will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Trent Wall and Rev. Curtis L. Pilson officiating. Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.at the church, and at other times at the home of her mother, Thelma C. Cassell.
