Elizabeth Ann Easter Melaga

Ms. Elizabeth “Ann” Easter Melaga, 66, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born June 5, 1955, in Surry County, to the late William Gilbert and Helen Carter Easter. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a devoted daughter and was the sole caregiver to both of her parents for several years before their deaths. Ann was a dedicated Christian and happily shared her faith with others. While she will be greatly missed, we take comfort in knowing that we will all be reunited in heaven one day. Surviving are her two daughters, Christa Ann Burnette and her husband, Mike, and Angela Dawn Harold and her wife, Melissa Holder; and three grandchildren, Asia Harold and her husband, Skyler Reep, Ty Harold and his girlfriend, Miya Russell, and Claire Burnette. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Randy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryant’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. The health and wellbeing of all are of the upmost importance to the family. Therefore, they kindly requests that all in attendance wear a face mask and limit physical contact.
