Ms. Elizabeth Ann Lewis

Ms. Elizabeth Ann Lewis, age 66 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mount Airy, North Carolina. She was born in Floyd County on March 21, 1944 to the late Esley Howard Keith and Gracie Irene Burnette Keith. In addition to her parents, Ms. Lewis was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Bowman and a brother, Joseph Cockram. She was a member of Meadows of Dan Baptist Church.
Ms. Lewis is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila Lewis of Fort Riley, Kansas, and Brenda L. Ayers, Francie and Mark Strole, Paula and Roger Carter, all of Meadows of Dan; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Gene Keith of Chesterfield, Bill Keith of Meadows of Dan, Garland Keith of Fieldale and Danny Cockram of Danville; and two sisters, Carlene Shelor and Sandra Haden, both of Meadows of Dan.
A memorial service for Ms. Lewis will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Shockley. Burial will be private.
