Ms. Elsie Mae Hodges Burgart

Ms. Elsie Mae Hodges Burgart, age 69 of Martinsville, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born in Henry County on March 7, 1939 to the late Milton and Virgie Waddell Hodges. In addition to her parents, Ms. Burgart was preceded in death by one brother, John Hodges, Jr. She had attended Fort Trial Baptist Church.
Ms. Burgart is survived by one son, Gregory Burgart of Martinsville; two daughters, Nadine Hendricks of Spencer and Sherry Regina Alley of Martinsville; three grandchildren, Kenneth Burgart, Kimberly Dawn Hendricks and Kristy Marie Alley; two great-grandchildren, Jasmine Alexus Boyd, and Charity Alley; and one brother, David Hodges of Martinsville.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Burgart Family Cemetery in Patrick Springs. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
