Ms. Ethyl Hawks Lowe

Ms. Ethyl Gertrude Hawks Lowe, age 92, of Lowgap, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Central Continuing Care. Ms. Lowe was born in Moore County on May 14, 1925, to Harmon and Lannie Lowe Hawks. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend to so many. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Bridget Lowe and Jack Duncan; a son and daughter-in-law, Kester and Denise Lowe; granddaughters, Kim, Julie, and Bethany; four great grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Loftis; a brother, A. D. Hawks; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Lowe was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia Hawks, Mary Astor and Henry Scott, Janice Westmoreland, and Wayne Loftis. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Temple Baptist by Rev. Zane Fishel. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Central Continuing Care for the wonderful care given to Ms. Lowe during her stay there.
