Ms. Gerolean Marie Lewis Webb

Ms. Gerolean Marie Lewis Webb, age 87 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at her home. She was born in Danville on February 13, 1930 to the late Early Cline Lewis and Edna Boyd Lewis. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Webb; a great-granddaughter, Amanda Wood; and two brothers, Gary Paul Lewis and Arzie Lewis. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed flowers and crocheting. She loved her dog, Pooch and cat, Muff.

Ms. Webb is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann Mitchell of Bassett, Sandra Marie Barr and husband, Richard of Hillsville; a son, Danny Ray Webb and wife, Clara of Rustburg; five grandchildren, Holly Thompson, Rebecca Webb, Wendy Tilley, Joshua Barr, Daniel Barr; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Lewis and wife, Barbara, Mack Lewis and wife, Connie, all of Meadows of Dan; two sisters, Annie Salmons of Front Royal and Iris Wilson of Axton; numerous nieces and nephews; a bible teacher, Rhonda Duncan of Martinsville; and caregivers, Charlie Parnell and Kathleen Parnell, both of Galax.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Shawn Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Boyd/Turner Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vesta Rescue Squad, P.O.
