Ms. Glenda Faye McCraw Emerson

Ms. Glenda Faye McCraw Emerson, 74 of Dobson passed away at her home on Friday, April 5, 2013. She was born in Galax, VA on December 10, 1938 to the late Lawrence and Alma Hawks McCraw. We will always remember her for her love of history and her love for antiques, she was a true "picker". She once assisted with decorating the Andy Griffith home place as well as other homes. Ms. Emerson is survived by a daughter, Linda Mae Maines of Dobson, two sons and daughters-in-law, David Lawrence and Sebra Maines of Mooresville, and Victor Matthew and Cindi Maines of Lowgap; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Blevins and Becky Bryant. In addition to her parents, Ms. Emerson was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Eggleston and an infant brother. The family will receive friends at 127 Glenda's Way, Dobson, NC on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM. All other services will be private.
