Ms. Glenda Lee Easter Gordon

Ms. Glenda Lee Easter Gordon, 77, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Surry County on August 30, 1938 to the late Delia Easter Branson. Ms. Gordon was retired from Mt. Airy Nutrition Center and attended Mt. Airy Wesleyan Church. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Henry Portis, Melissa and Marty Dunbar; grandchildren, Hunter Lee Dunbar, and Parker Christian Dunbar; a sister-in-law, Betty Ann Easter; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Gordon was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Lee Gordon; her step father, Harvey Esker Branson; a sister, Mary Easter Franklin; a brother, Fred Easter. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy with the Rev. Richard Loman, the Rev. Eric Smith, Mr. Dusty Ball, and Mr. Nelson Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
