Ms. Janice Anne Snow Brown

Ms. Janice Anne Snow Brown, age 74, of Dobson NC passed away on Thursday morning November 10, 2016. She was born in Surry Co. on January 26, 1942 to the late Ralph and Annie Lee Burrus Snow. She was a homemaker and a retired nurse from Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. Nothing gave her greater pleasure than the hours they spent with her as children. Janice was a faithful servant of the Lord and attended Freedom Gospel Church. An avid reader, she enjoyed reading the Bible and historical southern novels. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Melody and David Bumgarner of Winston Salem; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Mary Jo Brown of Waxhaw; five grandchildren, Christopher and wife, Heather Brown, Steven Brown, Stephanie Brown, Courtney Ashley and husband, JC, and Chloe Bauguess; one great granddaughter, Susan Brown; one sister, Linda Atkins of Pilot Mountain; two brothers and sister-in-law, Kent Snow of Dobson, and Rusty and Sharon Snow of Walnut Cove. Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 PM at Double Creek Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Randy Parrish and Brother John Snow will conduct the services. Her body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home until carried to the church to lie in state 30 min. prior to the service. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Saturday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
