Ms. Lessie Marie Smart

Ms. Lessie Marie Smart, age 71 of Vesta passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at her home. She was born in Patrick County on September 1, 1940 to the late Millard and Vera Marshall Hooker. She had worked for Aerial Machine from 1988 to 2002, and was a member of Mount Hope Holiness Church.
Ms. Smart is survived by three daughters, Gail Davison of Vincennes, Indiana, Israel Smart of Vesta and Audrey Smart of Vesta; four grandchildren, Brittany Davison, Bradley Davison, Clara Thorman and Jordan Rorrer; two brothers, Lloyd Hooker and Junior Hooker, both of Vesta; and a sister, Thelma Puckett of Vesta.
Funeral services for Ms. Smart will be held Friday, December 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Hope Holiness Church with Pastor Dale Belcher and Pastor Michael Leath officiating. Burial will follow in the Hooker Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
