Ms. Margaret Lee Tatum, age 81, of Arlington, formerly of the Nettle Ridge section of Patrick County, died on December 31, 2006 at Virginia Hospital Center of Arlington. She was born at Nettle Ridge on February 6, 1925, the daughter of the late William Edward and Anna McCabe Tatum. She was also preceded in death by five sisters; Ida Sue Tatum, Rachel "Bee" Tatum, Charlotte Tatum, Annie Royall Tatum and Jeanette Tatum Darne, two brothers; William Edward "Ned" Tatum Jr. and Frank Wilson
Tatum.
She was a graduate of Hardin Reynolds Memorial High School and attended Berea College, Berea, Kentucky. She was employed by the U.S. Dept. of State (passport office) for 41 years which included assignment to Los Angeles Passport Agency for 6 years and brief assignments from Washington D.C. to Chicago, Miami, New York, New Orleans, San Francisco and Seattle Passport Agencies.
Surviving are one niece, Belinda Conigliaro, one nephew-in-law, Umberto "Bert" Conigliaro, one great-nephew Tyler McCabe Conigliaro and one great-niece Laura Jeanette Conigliaro all of Bonita Springs, Florida and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 6, 2007 with Pastor Mark Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Nettle Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
