Ms. Mary Frances Fields

Ms. Mary Frances Fields, age 87 of King, North Carolina passed away at her home on Thursday, June 15, 2017. She was born in Virginia on July 15, 1929. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cosby Chrisley Simmons; a daughter, Carolyn G. Mabe; a husband, J.B. Greer; two grandsons, Jeffrey Parnell and Dwight Lee Setliff, Jr.; a sister, Virginia Anders; and a brother, Robert Dalton. She was a loving, caring mother, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Ms. Fields is survived by three daughters, Joyce G. Sloan and husband, Dennis of Rocky Mount, VA, Sandra G. Mabe of Walnut Cove, NC, and Alice G. Sloan and husband, Ray of Rocky Mount, VA; a son, Roger Lee Fields and wife, Marlana of King, NC; a step-daughter, Janice G. Gardner of Rocky Mount, VA; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four great great granchildren and thirteen nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ms. Fields will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, Virginia with Scotty Mounce speaking. Burial will immediately follow in Walnut Cove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
