Ms. Mary Melissa Harris

Ms. Mary Melissa Harris, age 90, formally of Elkin, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Pruitt Health Care in Elkin. She was born April 22, 1925 in Surry County to the late Willie and Lillie Nixon Harris and was a retired seamstress and a member of Mountain Park United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Lee Harris; Sisters, Alma Lee Marshall, Edna Pearl Harris and Martha Harris Nixon.
She is survived by her sister, Alice Marsh of The Somers Community, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 2-3 at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. The Funeral will follow at 3 PM in the Moody-Davis Chapel. Burial will follow in Mountain Park Cemetery. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is in charge of arrangements.
