Ms. Mildred Carol Utt Gagne

Ms. Mildred Carol Utt Gagne, 74, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at her home. She was born in Surry County on April 4, 1943 to the late Ed and Liza Evelyn Tate Utt. Ms. Gagne was a homemaker and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna Marie Alberson and Dean of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Carolyn “Pig” McHone and Dwayne of Mt. Airy, Amanda “Dumpy” Jones and Junior of North Wilkesboro; three great grandchildren; a sister, Eva Cave of Mt. Airy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn Utt and Eva, Larry Utt and Sandra, and Rachel all of Mt. Airy; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Gagne was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jamie Lynn Gunter; sisters, Margaret Ann Utt, Hazel Utt, Treva Easter; brothers, Bobby, Carmel, and James Utt. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Eaton officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
