Ms. Priscilla May Keyes Abee

Priscilla May Keyes-Kubin-Abee went home to be with the Lord and “Ed” on May 13, 2016. She was born to the late Mary Lou Keyes on March 29, 1960 in Havre de Grace, Maryland. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kubin and grandparents, Herbert and Helen Keyes. Ms. Abee was a member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church in Elkin, NC. She was also a big fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Carolina Tarheels. She is survived by two loving daughters, Jeanette and Gabriel Avalos-Beltran of Hamptonville, NC and Tammy and Mario Avalos-Beltran of Mt. Airy, NC; four precious and loving grandchildren, Breana (mommom’s Bumblebee), Emily (mommom’s Eskimo), Michael (mommom’s Little Man) and Flor (mommom’s Flossy Face); two loving sisters, Patricia Farrington of Huntersville, NC and Donna and Butter Maines, of Elkin, NC; one favorite nephew, Scott Vandevander; three special nieces, Rebecca Moore, Tracy Keyes and Mary Kiger; two great-nephews, Raiden Kiger (chunky monkey) and Camden Moore (little Scott); one great-niece, Raelyn Kiger (little TT). She also leaves behind two uncles, Roy Keyes of Newark, Delaware and Raymond Keyes of Elkton, Maryland; several cousins; and one granddog, “OSO.” Other extended family members include Matthew Kiger, Scott Moore, Danyelle Bayliss, Julia (Jules) Crittenden and Levi Hodgin; three special children, Saylor, Garrett and Brody Rhodes. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Welcome Valley Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Jenkins and Reverend Eddie Parker officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday Evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Welcome Valley Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Moody-Davis Funeral Home, 215 W. Kapp Street, Dobson, NC 27017, to assist with funeral expenses.
