Ms. Sandra "Sandy" Hiatt Draughn

Ms. Sandra “Sandy” Hiatt Draughn, 55, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Sandy was born April 13, 1960, in Surry County, the daughter of Bessie Willis Hiatt and the late Fred Stuart Hiatt. She was a loving mother, daughter sister and friend. Sandy is survived by her sons and a daughter-in-law, Ryan Stuart and Corie Draughn and Jacquez Malecke Green; her mother and step father, Bessie Hiatt Williams and Michael Williams, sisters and brothers-in-law, Sikinda “Skinner” Thompkins and Katrinka “Penny” and Jeff Rinehart; brother and sister-in-law, Michael “Casey” Stephen, Jr. and Bobbie and Woodrow “Gus” Williams and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father, Sandy was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Brandon Draughn and Joshua Michael Draughn and a sister, Pamela “Pete” Williams. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arlis Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel.
