Ms. Shirley Ann Edwards

Ms. Shirley Ann Edwards, age 72 of Stuart and formerly of Meadows of Dan passed away Friday at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. She was born on March 3, 1939 to the late Avery J. Edwards and Ellen Gay Belcher Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Edwards. Ms. Edwards was a member of Slate Mountain Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a brother, Franklin D. Edwards of Henry Co.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Slate Mountain Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jim Churchwell and Pastor Jeff Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour to prior the service at the church. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements.
