Muriel Hill Moody

Mrs. Muriel Hill Moody, of Elkin Healthcare in Elkin, widow of Otto H. Moody, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010. Mrs. Moody was born March 23, 1916, in Carroll County, Virginia, daughter of the late Lawrence and Bessie Stockner Hill. She is survived by a daughter, Jeanette Moody-Smith of Mount Airy; a grandson and wife, Jim W. Smith III and Tammy Smith of Cornelius; a grandson and wife, Bobby Ray Moody, Jr. and Kelly Moody of Mooresville; a grandson and wife, Mark Moody and Mary Moody of Baltimore, Maryland; a granddaughter and husband, Tammy M. Bush and Bucky Bush of Mount Airy; great-grandchildren, Britt Smith of Southport, Braxton Smith and Braydon Smith of Cornelius, Zackery Bush and Mallorie Bush of Mount Airy, Delania Moody, Zeth Moody, and Sicily Moody of Baltimore, Maryland; a daughter-in-law, Carol D. Moody; and two special nieces, Bonnie P. Taylor (Bob) and Linda P. Ward (Mike). In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moody was preceded in death by a son, Bobby R. Moody; and a sister, Josie H. Pennix. A celebration of life for the family will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Moody-Davis Funeral Services, conducted by Dr. Richard J. Smith and Dr. Roger Gilbert. No formal visitation will be held. Flowers will be accepted. A special thanks to the staff of Elkin Healthcare.
