Murphy Mabe Gunter

Mrs. Murphy Mabe Gunter age 93 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the R. J. Reynolds Patrick County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Patrick County on June 25, 1914 to the late James Allen and Leadie Azile Gunter Mabe. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gunter was preceded in death by her husband Fred James Gunter, four sisters Mary Anna Smith, Katie Shelton, Emily Fagg and Leola Brown, five brothers, Calvin, Weldon, Emmett, Creed, and Hassell Mabe. She was a homemaker and a seamstress and a member of Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gunter is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gunter will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Milton Gunter and Elder John Calhoun officiating . Burial will follow in the Gunter Family Cemetery in Stuart. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. If desired memorials may be made to the R. J.
