Susie Coe Joyce

Mrs. Mylynda Sue “Susie” Coe Joyce, age 71 of Mount Airy passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.  Mrs. Joyce was born on April 10, 1951, in Surry County to the late Foley and Alma Evans Coe.  Susie was a loving wife, mother, nanny, sister, and friend.  She was well known for her fierce love for her family and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Surviving is her husband of 33 years, Delmar Ray Joyce; two daughters and son-in-law, Lucinda “Cindy” Hayes, Martha “Jeannie” Frady and husband, Brian; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard “Richie” Cleveland Haynes, II, and wife Penny; three stepdaughters and stepson-in-law; Teresa Love and husband Mark, Cheryl Frye and husband Tim, Denise Connley and husband C. J. ; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Brian Joyce and Misty; twelve grandchildren, Brittany Barr, Travis Frye, Faith McCoy, Gray Haynes, Kurt Love, Allison Gorman, Mackenzie Haynes, Paula King, Tracy Hayes, Terry Hayes, Tyler Joyce, Mia Frady; thirteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shelby Stanley, Barbara Patterson, Maxine Hodges; a special nephew, Danny Stanley; along with several other nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Allison Tracy Haynes; two stepsons, Darrell Joyce, and Russell Joyce.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Rev. Rick Jackson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Central View Baptist Church Cemetery in Dobson, North Carolina.  The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
