Myra Williams Heath

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Myra W. Heath, aged 85, on February 5, 2024. Born on May 4, 1938, in Lawsonville, NC, she lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and spirituality.

She was a member of High Point Baptist Church and a lifelong advocate for animals. She provided sanctuary and healing to those harmed or abandoned, reflecting her belief in kindness to all of God’s creations. Her warm smile and gentle nature will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Myra was preceded in death by her husband, Nash Heath; her parents, Curtis and Ada Conner; and her brother, Phillip Conner. 

She is survived by her children, Joyce Singleton, Denise Churchwell, Kathryn Cates, Jonny Heath, and Brad Heath; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; beloved sister, Karen Conner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 24th, at Moody Funeral Home, Stuart, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice.

We will miss her deeply but take comfort in knowing her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched.
