Myra Mills

Mrs. Myra Collins Mills, age 78 of Claudville, Virginia passed away at her home on April 9, 2021.  She was born in Patrick County on July 1, 1942 to the late Walter Collins and Delphia Bowman Collins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Fletcher Mills; and six siblings, James Collins, Vance Collins, Edward Collins, Franklin Collins, Buddy Collins and Mozelle Harris.         Mrs. Mills is survived by two children, Karen Cowdrey (Robert) of Claudville and Joseph Mills (Rosa) of Greenville, North Carolina; two grandsons, John Mills of Fresno, California and Andrew Mills of Greenville, North Carolina; five siblings, Ann Martin of Lawsonville, North Carolina, Ruth Simmons of Greensboro, North Carolina, Evalene Crowder of Chatham, Virginia, Charles Collins of King, North Carolina, and Bobby Collins of Madison, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.         Friends are welcome to visit Moody Funeral Home in Stuart on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. to pay their final respects to Mrs. Mills.  Funeral services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CCDF Vol. Fire Dept. & Rescue Squad, 1409 Dry Pond Hwy., Stuart, VA  24171.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
