Nadine Morris Easter

Mrs. Nadine Morris Easter, 86 of Mount Airy passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy.  Mrs. Easter was born on May 13, 1935, in Benewah County, Idaho to the late Robert and Bertha Crotts Morris.  Nadine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are her six daughters, Linda Hill, Cathy Huffman, Ellen Merritt, Vickie Mayes, Gayle Ervin, Loretta Murray; five sons, Robert Larry Thomas, Bobby Thomas, Roger Merritt, Joe Gaither, Larry Laye; twenty grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters; Faye Cothren, Janet McMillian, Faye Morris, Janie Morris; brother and sister-in-law, Steve Morris and Imma.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Easter was preceded in death by husband, Henry Oscar Easter; a son Billy Ray Morris; one sister Pauline Morris; two brothers, Roy Chester Morris, Robert Frederick Morris; and her biological mother, Della Sutphin Morris.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Morris Family Cemetery in Cana, Virginia.  No formal visitation will be held at this time.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
