Nancy Elizabeth Guy Childress

Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Guy Childress, 86, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday night, September 30, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Childress was born November 6, 1937, in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late Thomas Wesley Blevins and Ruth Belle Guy. Nancy worked at Quality Mills for many years and was a faithful member of Friendly Tabernacle Church until her health declined. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William Howard and Cindy Childress; and a granddaughter and her husband, Ashley Elizabeth and Danny Stilwell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Childress was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Childress; a daughter, Tammy Childress; a son, Robert Franklin Childress, Jr.; and a brother, James Blevins. No formal visitation or memorial service will be held. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love, care, and compassion shown by the staff at Central Continuing Care.
