Nancy Jane Simpson Edwards

Ms. Nancy Jane Simpson Edwards, 66, of Yadkinville, passed away Friday evening, January 7, 2022, at Patriot Assisted Living Facility in Yadkinville. Ms. Edwards was born March 17, 1955, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Herman Gilbert and Lillian Viola Haymore Simpson. Nancy was reared in the Piney Grove community and graduated from Surry Central High School. She worked as patient care technician in her earlier years, and she later worked at Bassett Furniture. Nancy was a longtime member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and truly enjoyed its music ministry. She is survived by many cousins and special friends from Patriot Assisted Living Facility. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Kyle R. Caudle officiating. No formal visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1022, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
