Nancy Thompson Swaim

Ms. Nancy Thompson Swaim, 69, of Yadkinville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday March 5, 2010 at Yadkin Nursing Care Center. She was born in Surry County on June 17, 1940 to the late Zeb Vance and Claudine Hanks Thompson. She is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Charlene Thompson and Vance and Betty Thompson all of Elkin and several dear nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Her funeral service will be held at 4 PM Sunday March 7, 2010 at Gum Orchard Baptist Church by Rev. Joe Lambert and Rev. Ron Chamblin with burial to follow in Zephyr cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the Gum Orchard Baptist Church from 2:30 pm until the hour of the service. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Yadkin Nursing Care Center for the love and compassionate care given to Nancy during her stay there.
