Nannie Lou Hardy

Mrs. Nannie Lou Hardy, age 77, passed away at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy, NC on Tuesday morning June 7, 2022. She was born in Surry County on February 19, 1945 to the late Willie Lewis Coe and Mary Alma Reece Coe. Nannie was a member of Mount Herman Baptist Church. A few of Nannie’s greatest joys were her love of children, flowers and hosting large family gatherings. For over 30 years Nannie kept countless number of children in her home. She loved each one of them like they were her own.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Nancy Coe and Nellie Miller. Surviving is her loving husband of 58 years, Glenn David Hardy, two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Karen Hardy, David and Monica Hardy; grandchildren, Colin Hardy, Amelia Hardy and Owen Hardy; and special niece, Terri Woodring.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2022 in the cemetery of Salem Baptist Church. Her body will lie in state on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 5:00PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson.
