Nannie Frances Brinkley Woodson

Mrs. Nannie Frances Brinkley Woodson, 92, of 2384 Westfield Road, Mount Airy, passed away Monday morning, June 7, 2010, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Woodson was born November 21, 1917, daughter of the late Robert D. and Emmaline Brinkley. She retired from Quality Mills and was a member of Haymore Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Nelta Renegar of Clemmons; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Peggy Woodson of Mount Airy and Wayne and Mickey Woodson of Newport News, VA; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodson was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Edward Woodson; a son-in-law, Jack Renegar; a sister; and four brothers. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens, with the Rev. Dwight Cartner officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Central Continuing Care for the love, care, and kindness shown to Nannie during her illness.
