Needa Juanita Queen Harrold

Mrs. Needa Juanita Queen Harrold, 98, of 1398 Pine Ridge Road, Mount Airy, passed away Monday morning, October, 27, 2008, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born January 17, 1910, in Patrick County, VA, to the late Quincy and Lula Bennett Queen. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Macy and Joe Bill Collins and Stacy and Billy Puckett, all of Mount Airy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Athel and Brenda Harrold of Lowgap and Jason and Shirley Harrold of Lambsburg, VA; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Minnie Collins of Kernersville and Grace Goins of McLean, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harrold was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Davis Harrold; two sons, Haeford Haywood Harrold and Haze Honor Harrold; a great-grandchild; a sister; and five brothers. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Grover Jarrell, the Rev. Robert Taylor, and the Rev. Doug Cockerham. Burial will follow in the Harrold Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
