Nellie Ruth Golding

Mrs. Nellie Ruth Golding, 91, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  She was born in Surry County on October 8, 1927 to the late John C. Sr. and Pearl Tolbert Rose.  Mrs. Golding was a loving homemaker, and a member of Haymore Memorial Baptist Church.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Kary Jessup; grandchildren, Eric and Jessie Jessup, John Ryan Jessup; great grandchildren, James Jessup, and Lilly Jessup; a brother and sister-in-law, Stanley M. and Phyllis S. Rose; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Golding was preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Catherine Harbour, Margaret Lucille Webb, Dorothy Evelyn Snow, Betty Lee White; brothers, William Lester “Bill” Rose, Edward E. Rose, Dennis Cecil Rose, John C. Rose, Jr., Robert Starling Rose.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 12:30PM at White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Loman officiating.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Rose Family Scholarship Fund, at Highland Park Baptist Church, 1247 Park Dr., Mt.
