Nellie Margaret Pack Noah

Mrs. Nellie Margaret Pack Noah, 87, of 537 Merritt Street, Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday morning, June 2, 2009, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Noah was born June 1, 1922, in Surry County, to the late Jake and Dora Goins Pack. She was a homemaker and a member of the Holiness faith. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Aline Duncan and Opal and Sterling Edwards, all of Mount Airy; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Arthur "Cowboy" and Margie Noah, Ray Noah, Benny Noah, and Laura Noah, all of Mount Airy; eleven grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-stepgrandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Noah was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Franklin Noah; a daughter, Ada Bell Noah; two sons, Paul Junior Noah and Johnny Franklin Noah; four sisters, Jennie Reynolds, Phoebe Bowman, Laura Sechrist, and Minnie Branch; and three brothers, Sam Pack, John Pack, and Jesse Pack. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Tommy Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Midkiff Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, and other times at the home of Opal and Sterling Edwards, 125 Clock Lane, Mount Airy.
