Newell Bernie Inman

Mr. Newell Bernie Inman, age 84, of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019, at his home.  Mr. Inman was born in Surry County on April 7, 1935, to the late John McKinley and Donnie Arrington Inman.  He was retired from Pike Electric where he worked as a foreman for many years traveling the United States.  He was also a member of Woodville Baptist Church.  Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara Marion Inman; a daughter, Sandra Matthews and husband Wayne; step-son, Danny Marion; grandchildren, Newell Jeremy Durham and Brandon Dwight Durham and wife Christy; great-grandchildren, Ayden and Rylee Durham.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Woodville Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Sammy Lawson and Rev. Kevin Kilby.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
